A song whirling round and down

23rd Nov '12

Down down down
The rabbit hole
Down down down
The rabbit hole

I dropped my shoes
My pointy toes
Which made me tall
and my troubles small..

Down down down
The rabbit hole
Down down down
The rabbit hole

I dropped my robes
My witches black
And the broomstick brown
With the evil eye

Down down down
The rabbit hole
Down down down
The rabbit hole

I dropped my heart
The pierced red
With a comet's tail
And an expiry date

Down down down
The rabbit hole
Down down down
The rabbit hole

My soul dived in
Pushed to the steep
Where it's dark, deep..
The unknown sink

Down down down
The rabbit hole
Down down down
The rabbit hole
The Rabbit lives
Big ears
Big teeth
But the oxygen's scant
The climb steep, no rope
Still the breathing continues
Heavy
Till when?

Hotei's laughter (also repartee for Kshreeja)
Up up up
The blue blue sky
Where dreams they soar
before they die

Who who who
Made all the rules
Was it those men in robes
Or those stiffs running the schools

Why why why
Some thoughts benign
Stir storms in teacups
When they come to dine

Where where where
Beyond the flurry and the soar
Beyond cognition
And the keeping of score

Where where where
Where no pensive meet
Where silence reigns
In warm retreat

Where the spoken curse
and the beatification too
Incite belly laughter midst the jokes
Called me and you.
